Our small San Francisco-based team is seeking an experienced 3D character artist to model a variety of character and creature concepts into animation-ready 3D assets for our games. This is a full-time position with the option for working remotely. Come join our award-winning art team and help bring our next game to life!
Job Responsibilities:
Model and texture high- and low-poly engine-ready characters and creatures under the supervision of the Art Director
Assist with rendering and integration of 3D assets into a proprietary engine
Collaborate closely with our 3D Animator to problem-solve and prototype
Deliver on artistic / creative goals while adhering to production, gameplay, and performance requirements
Occasionally assist with additional art duties
About the Candidate:
Expert-level experience with Maya
Expert-level experience with hand-painted texture workflows
Experience with ZBrush
Experience with After Effects
Experience working in a game engine on one or more shipped titles
Organized, responsible, and able to work autonomously
Excellent written and verbal communication
Familiarity with Supergiant’s titles; general interest in video games
Ability to rig a plus, but not required
